Senior Research Fellow and head of the CRE Programme at ACTS nominated to co-chair INCCCETT 4CB partnership

Dr Joanes Atela has been nominated to co-chair the “International Network of Climate Change Centres of Excellence and Think-Tanks for Capacity Building (INCCCETT 4CB)” partnership, which was launched at UNFCCC COP22 in Marrakesh, Morocco. ACTS was nominated to represent Sub Saharan Africa in INCCCETT 4CB partnership

The INCCCETT 4CB partnership is designed to support capacity building in developing countries under the Paris Agreement and address gaps and needs through implementation of capacity-building initiatives. The INCCCETT 4CB was recently recognised by the UNFCCC to inform the Paris Committee on Capacity Building. The team has already prepared a number of projects seeking funding to support strategic capacity building initiative. Dr. Joanes Atela will co-chair the partnership for a period of 2 years.
